Ashford Stamps Ltd was established in 1995 based in Auckland, New Zealand. Since that time we have been actively dealing in all manner of stamps and postal history.

We produce Postal Auctions containing a fascinating array of New Zealand material as well as all other countries as they become available. Clients numbering in their thousands from all parts of the globe are invited to participate, and receive an auction catalogue in their mail box about three times per year.

Each auction catalogue contains around 2000-2500 lots, all accurately described with expected price estimates (in New Zealand dollars). All lots are fully guaranteed to match the descriptions.

Unlike some other auction companies, seldom is an item returned because of a mistake or poor condition. The average return rate is 2 lots per auction, so most clients have never been disappointed with their purchases. That's how we like it!

Founder and Managing Director is Mr Brian Rumsey. Since 1983 Brian has been involved in most aspects of professional philately, including valuations, postal auctions, retail, mail order and stamp shows.

Brian is on the executive committee of the New Zealand Stamp Dealers Association, a trade body committed to upholding professional and ethical standards in the industry.

Brian is also part of the expert committee of the Royal Philatelic Society of New Zealand, a small group of expert philatelists used in the consultation process to determine genuineness or identify rare New Zealand stamps.
